Gullane Flu Clinics - UPDATE


We will be running flu clinics here at the Practice for patients over the age of 65 *Patients aged 6 months to 18 years with a chronic disease should also book into these designated clinics.

THURSDAY CLINICS ARE NOW AVAILABLE


These will be pre bookable clinics, please phone a member of the reception team on 01620 842171 to book one of these appointments. You will be assigned to a specific Health Care Professional at a specific time, it is important that you arrive at the time given. When you attend we ask that you observe social distancing and wear a face covering. Please do not attend if you do not have an appointment.


CHILDREN AGED 2-5 YEARS OLD WILL RECEIVE A FURTHER LETTER FROM COMMUNITY CHILD HEALTH WITH AN APPOINTMENT DATE, TIME AND VENUE. THESE WILL NOT BE BOOKED OR ORGANISED THROUGH THE PRACTICE.


 PATIENTS AGED BETWEEN 18-64 YEARS OLD WITH A CHRONIC DISEASE WILL RECEIVE A LETTER FROM THE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PARTNERSHIP WITH REGARDS TO THE BOOKING PROCEDURE FOR THE FLU CLINIC THIS YEAR


  We thank you all for your patience and co-operation while we work through this very busy season.

Admin staff are here to help you between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.  Their job is to liaise between you and the doctor.  It is an extremely demanding job so please be patient.

Community Midwives

Annette Welsh (f)

RM

The Midwife provides ante-natal care in the surgery by appointment on Thursday afternoons. She is part of East Lothian Community Team providing a home birth service. She also runs ante-natal classes and provides post-natal care at home. Midwives can be contacted at East Lothian Community Hospital on 01620 642 707

Community Nurses

Niki Morrison (f)
The District Nurses carry out nursing care for patients at home. They will provide advice and assist with organising care for infirm or disabled people. They will also see patients for dressings at the surgery. They can be contacted through the surgery or at their North Berwick base on 01620 897016.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitor offers health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and support to women with post-natal depression. She sees children for developmental checks and performs routine vaccinations. She will carry out home visits where appropriate. She runs an open access baby clinic on Wednesday 11 - 12 am.
